i have naturally frizzy, and medium thickness hair. i straighten it w/ a blow dryer once a week. this makes it thin, and kinda fraile. =( I WOULD LOVE to have beachy waves!! i've never had waves, and they look really pretty! oh, and my hair is to around the end of my neck. help!!(i've tryed the whole "scrunching with mousse" thing, and it made my hair frizzy.

well first you have to start by washing your hair with an anti frizz shampoo and conditoner. try loreal paris vive pro (it's the orange ones, find the one with your haiy type) then you need to buy a product like garnier surf hair, or you can make your own (use a bottle with a spray top and mix about 3/4 cup of water and 1/4 cup of salt into it, give it a good shake) after you wash your hair, spray this stuff in your hair, then pick up your hair in a bun with a hairclip, and make sure you place the bun pretty high on your head and make sure it's secure. your hair may take a while to dry, what i do is i take the hair clip off every hour or so and readjust it so the waves come out nicer and not too defined. good luck. =)

put mousse in it and dry it under a hair net this will stop it from frizzing the hair net stops it from frizzing

Use mousse. Get some curling mousse, separate the tangles, run the mousse through it, and shake your hair a bit.
Try to curl your hair with your fingers or plastic curlers. Then put gel or grease on it and curl it with your fingers or curlers again and then blow dry it. Use some gel to make your hair straight and a little bit wavy. If you don't have a perm, wet your hair, put some gel on it or add water to grease and rub together. Don't comb your hair, just wait for it to dry. If your hair is flat at the top, spray it with water, add a small amount of gel, scrunch it into a ball, then secure it with a jaw clip. Leave it for about 10 minutes then spray with hair spray and remove the clip.
Heres another method but it only works for some people
Braid your hair before you go to bed. It works a lot better if you use thick braids. In other words, you only need 3-5 braids in your hair. The less braids, the bigger the wave. If you want even wavier hair, take a shower or get your hair wet before braiding. sleep with the braids in for a whole night. Try not to toss and turn too much, if you can. It will give it an even better boost. When you wake up, simply unbraid you hair. Brush (or comb, if you prefer) your hair softly without much pull. You don't want to ruin your awesome wave. :) For an extra look, try putting your hair in a bun after braiding your hair. It'll give it a little curl. And, ta-da! You're done!

i have naturally wavey hair, but i know that if you french braid your hair into pigtails, fairly tight pigtails, when it is wet, and leave them in overnight, it will make soft waves, plus french braids are cute! you can also use a wide barrel curling iron, about 3 inches.

I have straight hair to! I have tried the scrunchy thing to, but it did nothing! But when i want my hair curly i do tight braids! When i just want waves or curls on the tips, i do a messy bun! And leave both styles over night!
