How not to fry your hair?

I have medium brown hair and I want to make the bottom portion bright blond and then dye it pink... my mom says that will fry it, how can i try to prevent it from frying??

How not to fry your hair?

You can't prevent it. Anytime you double-process your hair, you are causing serious damage to it. Contrary to what the person above me says, you can't "heal" hair once it has been damaged.

I am a former hairdreser.

you can't prevent it but you can help it heal by using a shampoo that helps damaged hair.

if you bleach it first, and then dye it right after, it will fry it. if you are dead set on this, dye it a blonde first, the brightest blonde you can find, no bleach!! and do not buy a box dye from the store! buy a color and a high volume developer from a beauty shop. then wait at least 2 or 3 weeks, then dye it your pink.

this will still effect your hair, but not as bad as before. the bleach is very bad for your hair. just know that the pink will fade extremely fast, so it may not even be worth it. but it is still entirely up to you. so whatever you decide to do, good luck!

you can apply a special conditioning treamtent before you dye hair hair. it wont completely protect your hair, but it will help alot and at least your hair will have some protection, than none at all.
