My friend has really big blue eyes and I always think that black eyeliner (on top eyelid) and silver suits her eyes. If you do this however play down the lipstick, just use some gloss or a colour similar to your lips.

Alternatively, purples and greens (with high sparkle) are really in this season and look great on a night out.

I'd stick to browns and beiges during the day though.

You are probabally "warm". I think you should try wearing rich creams, burnt orange, chocolate browns, and even tan. If you find that these colors don't do it for you, try a dark red, actually, wear it anyway, I think it will work too. You need to pick up a book at your local bookstore about color seasons, there is a tremendous amount of information about how to dress for the season you are. (clothing) Make-up, wear neutral skin tones.

With brown hair, and darker eyes, I don't think you should go for really bright colors. I think browns, tans, and golds would look really good on you. You could pull off some shades of pink too. But since you have blue-green eyes, don't use green and blue. It would draw away from the eyes and to your makeup. If you use too many insane colors, people won't notice how pretty you look. They'll notice your makeup. Good luck.

Colors are always tough. By your description, I'm going to have to say the following. PLEASE NOTE! You don't have to use all of these! They're just suggestions!

For day wear: A little greatlash maybellene mascara, light pink lip stain, a little brozing blush, sweep bronzer on eyelids to ake eyes pop

Special occasions: A bit more mascara, lipgloss, green eyeshadow plus a little green eyeliner

eyeshadow- plum/lilac, gold, bronze, copper, and silver will all bring out the color in ur eyes.

if i were you, i'd try to bring out the blues in your eyes, by using brown or neutral colors for the lid, and in the crease of the lid, use blue. Use black eye liner and blue mascara and you'd look fabulous. Mabey some pink lip gloss too :]

ok, there is shampoo you can buy. It is dark purple. what it does is it takes out the yellow. It is a toner shampoo. Old ladies use it to make there hair that purple tints and blondes use it to take out there yellow. I have plaitnum blonde hair and it is what i use. It works great!! you can buy cheap stuff at walmart but you can buy good stuff from a salon. it doesnt really have a name, i just call it purple shampoo. I bought some from wal mart once its callled 'light blue shade' and it comes in a dark purple bottle.

pantene, its got this ingredient in it that puts a kind of coating on your hair that makes light reflect hence giving a shine. great stuff!! not the best if your hair is dyed black though because it interferes with the porosity of hair making touching up the roots a bit awkward, but if your hair is natural, its bril stuff!!!!

ok about 2 days ago i went to the salon to get layers on my medium length hair (below my shoulders). I started noticing that the hairdresser was cutting it a little too short on the left side so i made her stop! I started freaking out when i realized that the layers were already above my ear and only on the left side!!! i started screaming at her and she said she'll try to fix it but I already had too much! another hairdresser came and fixed the right side (she actually did the layers that i wanted) but now my hair is uneven. short on the left and longer on the right!

Breath deeply first please. Hair is made from collagen (the stuff in Jello and gummy worms) and protein. Prenatal vitamins will only give you so much of the stuff you need. Jello and steak, or whey protein shake mixes instead of steak, will work better with prenatal and help things grow faster and more smoothly. It'll even help your nails look good too!

I am sorry to hear about this. I can sympathize with you. I had the same thing happen to me years ago--cutting too much hair off. That is why I cut my own hair.

I good way to help hair grow back faster is eating lots and lots of soy or tofu. Soy has loads of biotin and other acids to help hair grow.

I hope you are not allergic to soy, as I know some people who are.

I do not think that you should dye your hair because you should truly be happy the way you are and you should not change that for any reason. And also, since you have normally had black hair, switching to a goldish color is a BIG change that you have to make sure that you are ready to make and even if you decide to dye your hair, make sure that it is REALLY what you want. good luck:)

Show your mom the pics. for starters. As a stylist, I had no clue what you meant when you said "scene hair" until I saw the pics. I bet your mom will be in the same boat. Both styles are modified bob cuts with lots of razor cut layers and texturizing. If you mom speaks that language, you're cool. But, the pictures will be more helpful than anything else.

For an oval face you want med. hair or short. You should get the cut done with lots of layers that start hitting just below your chin. For the color I would leave your med. brown, but get golden highlights.

I have a similiar face shape and medium/long hair is better on our faces. It slims a wide face. Dont get a cut like a bob because it conform to your face in which in which you will look like a pie, hence, pieface. The color of your hair depends on your complexion and facial features. Start with the length first and then decide on the color. I suggest you dont dye your whole head, try hightlights first and gradually work your way up. Dont go permanent, use temporary so just in case you dont like it, it will rinse out in a few shampoos.

It's tricky. If you have an old color in ur hair already (ie the mid brown) you cant just pop a color all over because it will no doubt give an uneven result. what i'd do personally is dye the roots only mid-brown to match the ends, then i'd get loads of foil highlights, but really fine ones to make it look like an all over highlights. You can have them as golden or light blonde as you like. That'd look hot.

Be very careful coloring Asian hair...any hair that is truely black or very, very dark brown, when lightenend has a major tendancy to turn wierd orange and gold colors. When you take color out of dark hair it goes through many different shades of red and orange and usually needs to be toned. So you will end up an auburn brown instead of a nice neutral brown like you are probably looking for. I have never thought that color looks very nice against most skin tones, but I am especially not fond of it against Asian skin tones. Also, the regrowth will be hell to keep up on.

Instead why don't you get highlights. You can lift them a little higher than you would dare to lift the rest of your hair because it is only a few pieces around the face.

Your hairdresser can make them any color after that...I mean any color from the brown you are talking about to green...and the contrast between light and dark is very appealing.

Either way this is not something I would try at home. Or your next question will be how do I get the orange out of my hair....or....why didn't my hair turn out like the color on the box...

Dark hair is really hard to dye, trust me, if your going to go for a lighter color you have to leave the dye in longer, and /or bleach it first, then dye it. but same rules apply for bleaching dark hair. Personally , i think you should highlight it with a brown instead if coloring first. then you can see if you like the color in your hair before you completley dye it

Your layers are probably too choppy or bulky and they probably need to be blended in. When you go to your hairstylist ask her/him to either blend them with a blending shears or chip into it with their regular shears. This should solve your problem. Also make sure when you flat iron you take really small sections of hair, I notice that when I take big sections it doesn't get the ends as smooth as it does when I take small ones.

Are you talking about frizzy looking ends after you've ironed? Maybe you need to get your ends trimmed due to spilt ends. Flat Irons are very hot which may cause your ends to spilt.

You are going to want to go over the ends one extra time. The top of your hair is where all the oils are so when you straighten it, the top will always be much smoother and straighter. Just straighten your hair as usual, and then maybe add a little more serum to the very ends and run over JUST the ends one more time.

I had naturally medium brown hair last week and i colored it burgundy. My husband and i don't like it much because it looks too purplish for us. Anyways, would putting brown hairdye overtop of it get rid of the puplish hues? or any other advice? There are no good hair salons where i live! I have to do it myself.

Ha! A friend of mine had this happen a few weeks ago. Her's turned out a dark purplish red. She put a dark brown over it and it still has a red hue but it looks great now.

If your not sure about putting a color over it buy a color stripper. Lorel makes a good one for around $12 I think.

Do you have a Walgreens?(they may have it at other stores also, try walmart or target) I know for sure they have a product called color erase that takes out whatever color you last put in, but if not, i would try going a darker shade of brown to cover up the color. Good luck! I've had enough hair problems when I do it myself...... Lately I have tried to just try different styles and bypass the colors and perms while I wait for the half blond/half brown highlights to grow out.

Depending, if its greasy looking only on the roots the best way to deal with it is with a clarifying shampoo (like suave its a clear one) it will help remove all the build up caused by hair spray, gels, and other products you apply. Make sure when taking a shower, you shampoo once only applying at the roots of ur hair then when u rinse it will clean the tips. When you apply it the 2nd time you apply again only in the roots and leave it for 2 mins it will stop the greasiness, and apply conditioner only at the tips leaving it for 10 mins under a shower cap...

Shampooing everyday will cause ur hair to be dry, depending on ur hair if you follow the instructions it should only be done every other day.

Again depending on your hair needs;

1. Hair is too oily: wash everyday only applying conditioner everyother day.

2. Hair is too dry: apply conditioner every time u take a shower, only shower every other day...

Okay, first, yes it isnt good to shampoo every day. Every other day is fine unless your hair is really dry then every two days. It is more than okay to condition every day. Its not good or bad for your hair to be oily its just natural but its NOT good for your hair to feel dry and brittle, so oily is better than that. Also, try not to blow dry,curl or straighten alot, dont fall for anything that someone say to put on your hair because hair cant absorb anything like mayonnaise or honey, it just sits on top of your hair doing nothing. Hot oil treatments are bad because after, the oil doesnt come off and if you blow dry or go in the sun, it will basically fry your hair trapped in oil. Also, hair has to have at least 8% water content. Hot oil treatments prevent the water from absorbing into the hair. The same goes for bleaching, perms etc. they can bring your hair all the way down to 2% water content which is about when your hair gets split ends and may even become brittle and break. If you feel that you have to straighten/curl your hair everyday or something like that you might want to go to a reputable stylist and ask them if a relaxer/perm would do less damage in the end, then make sure you ask them how to take care of your hair afterwards, hope this helped any other questions i didnt answer, i would be happy to.

My suggestion is that you look for a special shampoo for oily hair; that should take care of having to wash it everyday.

If that doesn't take care of the problem you could try using a vinegar rinse which will make your hair shiny and take away the oil.

If you wash your hair to much you will wash away the natural oil's, which your hair needs.

It's alright to condition but if you have a tendency to have oily hair the condition will actual make it more oily.

Try finding a special shampoo that is suited for your hair, instead of the conditioner you should try vinegar, it will make your hair shiny; take away tangles and the oily problem.

Well i would streak it that color because it has been proven that too much dye can cause brain damage because of the chemicals. the easiest way to do this is to use a hair color that has no peroxide in it there are a lot of good ones out now as for how to do this just read the directions before you start. IF this is the first time of doing your hair its best to have it done by someone who knows what they are doing ,Test the color on your skin first to make sure you're not allergic to it. Coloring hair is very easy. L'Oreal or Revlon Colorist ( this is new ) its great , its what I use.the new stuff does little damage. please no henna its to messy and it will give a red cast.

I have a similar problem with my hair sometimes. My hair is thick and curly and the shorter I cut it the curlyer it got but some of the things I do after I straighten it is I us a slight bit of spray gel on the top layer and then for like maybe at most 20 minutes or 30 minutes I wear my ski hat and it flattens it good enough

As far as the hair cut/style that works best I have it kinda short not quit to my shoulders and it's in a lot of layers, some places ofer thinning but that is essentialy layers.

I suggest before cutting to try you try the gel after ur done and if you don't want flippy use a ski hat

Okay first of all, if you cut it in layers it will be less poofy, so go for it. Another thing, consider buying a "good" straightner a cermaic one. I believe Sallys Beauty Supply has an excellent selection. Get "Helen of troy ceramic straightner" goes up to 430 degrees, around 35 dollars, and it makes any hairtype flawless!!!

Wow my hair is a lot like yours, except fairly thin. And I used to have the exact same problem!

What I do is really simple - and costs barely anything. First I put through some kind of product - you can use a light mousse or styling cream - sometimes I use leave in conditioner as well.

Then you get salt water spray and spritz it through your hair on the ends, kind of scrunching gently as you go.

You can buy salt sprays for hair but instead of spending the $ instead when I go to the beach I fill a container with the sea water and then I just put it in a spray bottle to use!

Dark color is hard to color over with light. I'm not sure how long it's been since you colored your hair, but be careful, you could end up with an icky green color if you mix too many colors. First of all, steer clear of the Ash and Golden colors. Ash tends to make your hair look gray and a little dull and people who have brown hair should never use Golden because 90% of the time your hair will turn reddish or orange. You want to use neutral colors. You can get a color remover, to strip out the dark color and then try another color; this will be your quickest solution. Or you can go with a lighter shade of blonde. Maybe a light neutral blonde. Check the back of the box. It will give a chart of what color your hair is now and what color it will be when you use this color dye. Just because the chick on the front has white hair doesn't mean yours will ever get that light. Redken Crystal curls works really good. and So does bed head. Try when u get up just turn on the water and get ur hair pretty damp and then towel dry put the product in. and the diffuse. In case u dont know a diffuser comes with most blow dryers. it is round and has several little spikes on it. u just turn ur head upside down and push the diffuser to ur head with hair in it. try it.

Um... let me think. Your hair should be pretty wet if you want it to scrunch well. Using a squirt bottle should work just fine. By the way, I use Garnier XXL volume gel to scrunch, or sometimes I use conditioner and leave it in, but it is heavy, so if your hair is fine, stick to gel. Good luck!

i usually just get my hair damp and then flip my head over and put herbal essences body envy mousse or just a simple gel in and scrunch it a bunch. then i blow dry it on a low heat setting so the waves set. or you can get the same look sorta by braiding your hair into three braids (1 on each side and 1 in the back) while its damp/wet and then sleep on them. take them out when you wake up and your hair will look really pretty. i hope all of that made sense!

While Manic Panic is the most mainstream brand for outrageous colors, I've never had good luck with it. It always came out of my hair in just a couple days, and even the day I did it I wasn't impressed with the color.

I would recommend going to Sally's Beauty Supply. The employees are REALLY helpful, they carry the same professional quality hair dyes you'd get in a salon (good color without killing your hair), and have tons of options.

If you're looking for something really short term, try Hot Topic. They carry comb in color for streaks that wash out immediately.

Hair stylist messed up my hair!!! What to do?

I went to get a cut and blonde highlights in my light/medium brown hair. I had it last summer but my stylist wasnt there because she had a baby....so today I went to a new one and asked for the most experienced stylist....... and she cuts it fine (a little shorter than I wanted originally).....but then when she highlighted it...it was like 4 streaks of platinum blonde on top with large 1-2 inch pieces of brown inbetween.

If its the same place call and say you werent happy with how your colouring turned out and ask if you can have the girl you usually have fix it when she is back.

If you are unhappy with your color contact the salon and let them know what the problem is, most likely they will not charge you again to fix your hair. This is a really easy style i do all the time, and it takes care of your hairstyle for two days.

After you've washed you hair, towel dry then brush it.

Then, section by section (they can be big or small), twist or twirl your hair and randomly pin it up (looks better if the pins blend into your hair colour).

Once all of your hair is done, your ready to go. Its a casual yet really pretty style that nobody else is going to have.

This works best when your hair is wet. Leave it in all day, and sleep in it that night if you can. In the morning, take out all the bobby pins and you'll have your second style, pretty waves. Try a "fergie flip". where you flip some of the front of your hair back with a barrett or bobby pin. Also try a back-town under flip. Where you seperate your hair into two parts , twist both of them, and at the middle or end of both hair partations, connect them with a hair band. On SOME people it looks good, and on some it doesn't . Try it and see. The fergie flip looks like the hair on my avatar. Hair up, or down, your choice.

I have bleached my hair for several years so I have a lot of experience. By a pre-lightener do you mean strip the color from your hair? If you do, don't put a color on that has peroxide in it. You will feel like a blow torch was on your head. That is the old way of bleaching. I used to have scabs on my crown a 1/2 inch thick. Just get the lightest champagne or beige blond toner. You will have to bleach it over the next three months about three times before you get the color you want. That is the procedure that is the easiest on your hair. Never use ash because it turns green. If you like a yellow blond then try golden blond. Brown hair has a lot of red in it so that is why I suggested beige. Good luck.

I know you can only go two shades up or down from your own at a time.. for example if mid-brown is 4/5, blonde is 9, black is 1. So you can go to a 6 then do another shade to an 8...etc. It's much more difficult to go lighter and probably easier to just do it in a hairdressers. You could try schools of hairdressing to get a cheaper dye job. Or ask for help from the chemist you get your dye from. Good luck.

Oh, dear. If I were you, I'd go back to the salon, talk to the owner and try to convince them to do it over for free, since they seem to have ruined it the first time. (Ask for a different stylist to do it the second time, of course.) Be very careful about which color or color combination you choose.

If you decide to try at-home coloring, choose a shade that's just one or two shades different from your current shade and be sure to follow all the instructions carefully. Good luck!

If your hair was black originally and you went to that drastic a change then your hair is probably stripped and you should leave it alone for awhile. Recoloring too soon may damage it beyond what it already is. Try asking a different stylist from a reputable salon and see what they reccommend

Black hair is NOT a good candidate for bleaching...it usually has lots of red in it and often bleaches to a very brassy orange/blonde. To get your hair to the color it is has really damaged the strands. You better be very careful, no matter who or when you play again...you will end up with a fried mess on your head. Hair does not repair itself. You might want to consider going darker with browns...blonde is probably not for you or your skin color. And not to be pessimestic, professionals don't do a very good job on many colors of hair...there are always surprises.

When you want to go from black-blonde you have to take Babysteps. Black has alot of pigments, to remove the pigments you have to bleach your hair. Bleaching your hair is never good for it. When you start out with black, its gonna take a while before you get the color you want.

You might get a grey/red/yellow shade. And thats 'natural'.

What you can do right now is color it in any shade of brown, wait a couple of weeks and then go blonde.
