i'm a guy and have medium/short hair.

my hiar is really thick and i just want my hiar thin so anybody know how?

If you go to a salon, ask them to thin it out. They will use a razor to layer your hair out. It will seem thinner.

Texturizing shears, and point cutting. Ask your hairstylist to do it for you.

Texturizing shears look like a rake, in a way. It's very hard to explain, so here is a picture. Basically, they are just missing pieces of the blade, so when you use them, you take chunks out, and leave chunks in, causing texture and thinning.

The other way is point cutting, which is when you hold the hair up, and using regular shears, you use just the tips of your shears and cut out tiny pieces of hair.

Both ways thin it out, but both ways may also give you more body to your hair and more height at the scalp, depending on how long your hair is.

My hair is slighly past my shoulders, so it doesnt give me volume, it just thins. But, if it were say only a couple of inches long, it would give more height at the scalp.
