Which hair iron is better for very frizzy, curly hair, the CHI or Sedu?

medium length hair. pros, cons, what you reccomend. beginner at straightening hair

Which hair iron is better for very frizzy, curly hair, the CHI or Sedu?

The Solia flat iron is the one you want if you want to be more free with your,i have a Solia and i can straighten it,curl it and so much more, and It's not very expensive, but it is a just a little bit heavier than the others you mentioned,it won't hurt your hand though. The Solia is good for short to medium hair.

The Sedu is the one that i plan to buy next,i think people with hair a little past their shoulders have had better results with the Sedu, people with short hair however disliked it.The Sedu is very light-weight,but the plates on the iron are very wide, and not good for curling and waving your hair, but the good thing is that they offer 2 different sizes. The Sedu is good for people with medium to long hair.

The CHI is a piece of crap in my opinion,it is not the flat iron you want for very thick, frizzy, curly hair.I have heard hundreds of stories about the CHI severely damaging hair, breaking down after 6-12 months and just falling apart. The CHI is recommended for people with long fine/thin hair.

Sedu

go to Folica.com and read about it.

I have owned one for about a year now and I will never buy anything different.

Remington or ghds are great for frizz heads...x

Sedu is great for smoothing out frizz, especially if you live in a humid place like Florida.

Long hair should have a maintenance?

Hi, im a boy with medium leght hair, and i want it long (about shoulder)

I had a cut yesterday.. didnt cut it for about 9,5 months so it was is not very good shape..

but now im sad that i lost about 2/3 months of hair :/ but it looks in better shape.

i did he right thing? what should i do to forget the hair that is gone?

Long hair should have a maintenance?

yes long hair definately needs to have upkeep on it. im a girl and i have hair down to the middle of my back, and i have to get it cut about every two months. not cut alot just the ends trimmed to get rid of the split ones. granted i do alot more damaging stuff to my hair like styling it and everthing, but you being a guy...i still think you should get the ends trimmed off your hair about everything 3 or 4 months. you will see a good difference in your hair that is for sure!

Long hair should have a maintenance?

IT'S HAIR !! it'll grow back, no biggie.

Long hair should have a maintenance?

I'm female and have long hair down to my butt.(its a thing to keep it long.)I hate cutting it.So I trim once in a while. But I baby it too.Lots of oil free conditioner, carful with the brush. And gentle when its wet(hair stretches when wet and will break easier).

It will grow out.Take care of your nutrition and scalp in the meantime.

I want to get my hair like this, what do I say when I go to the salon?

This is what I want my hair to look like -

I know I could just print the picture off but i don't have access to a printer and i won't any time soon either, so I'm just wondering what should I say when i'm explaining how i want my hair done?

Also after my haircut, how and what would I use to get my hair wavy like in the picture?

I want to get my hair like this, what do I say when I go to the salon?

This looks like a short, layered hair cut with side bangs.

Tell them this when you go to the salon or you can look in their books and try to find something similar to this haircut so you can help show them something to give them an idea of what you are looking for.

In stylists terms this is a basic, 90 degree shoulder length haircut with side fringe.

To get your hair to look like this try putting your hair in the soft rod rollers at night. I've seen them for under $10 at rite aid. they are easy to roll in after your shower and are comfortable to sleep in.

haha i hope this has helped!

I want to get my hair like this, what do I say when I go to the salon?

Hi

you would taek a picture of someone whos hair is like what you want yours like, or get one of the internet. You could ask your hairdresser on how to get your hair in certain styles. They should give you an answer, after all they are the hair experts !

I want to get my hair like this, what do I say when I go to the salon?

you could mabey look at magazines and get something similar. Or print it off at a friends house or the library. by the way, that is a very cute hair style!

Print out the picture (if you can find other angles of it because that would also help), give it to the hairdresser, and ask her to do that style for you.

Wanting a new hair style... suggestions?

Ok here is me in a nut shell... I am in my 20's, a mom of a 3 year old, I work full-time, and go to school part-time. I love new hair styles and colors. Right now I have medium brown hair, and its it just past my shoulders. I do not have bangs, and really don't want either. I have been thinking about cutting my hair shorter (chin length). Does anyone have any suggestions that would give me a hip mommy look, but does not take a long time to do in the mornings?

p.s. I have wavy thick hair but I usually don't have trouble with volume. If that helps anyone...

Wanting a new hair style... suggestions?

try dyeing it.

Should lighten my hair?

I have medium brown hair with red undertones.

How can I go lighter (such as light brown or dark blonde) without my hair turning orange? How light do you think I can/should go?

Should lighten my hair?

Here are some things you can do:

1. Talk to a professional colorists. Skin coloring should also be taken into consideration when dying your hair!

2. Get a swatch of hair dyed the precise color you want or professional suggests. I have done this before. Pick a piece of hair underneath, near the back of your neck that isn't obvious and can be easily hidden. I have gone in with a friend while she had hers dyed and expressed my desire to do so to. The hair stylist was more than happy to dye a chunk of hair. You should call ahead to make sure your stylist will do this though...time permitting you should be ok.

3. Try the colors out on Instyle.com They have a FREE hairstyle/color program. You upload your pic and try on different celebrity hairstyles and colors/highlights. Very fun. They update with new hairstyles every month and you can choose from hundreds.

Good luck!

Should lighten my hair?

if u have a hair stylist do it, it wont look orange. have her give u subtle caramel highlights. it will lighten the whole look of ur hair and balance out the red, it will look really pretty

Should lighten my hair?

Have fun with that. If your hair is dark, it's going to be extreamlyy hard to get it light. Your going to have to experiment with things. Maybe go into a salon. They always have the best advice!!

Should lighten my hair?

go with light brown because the blonde will make your red undertones look orange, trust me.

Should lighten my hair?

Don't use bleach. Just get a blonde hair dye and you will have to be careful and make sure you watch your hair and keep checking it often. Since it's already brown you probably won't need to leave it on too long. When you see that it has reached the color you want go wash it out! Pretty easy. Just remember to watch it or when you come back it will be close to blonde. Unless that's what you're going for! That's the easiest way to do it, once you have more experience you can go to somewhere like Sally's where you can pick the volumizing creme and colors and all that fancy stuff.

Should lighten my hair?

dont color it. It only ruins your hair.

Should lighten my hair?

go to a hair salon, and have them lighten it for you, then it won't look orange.

I'm thinking about dying my hair black on bottom and reddish-brown on top?

I have layered, medium brown hair with bangs (i wear straight and side swept) and i want to dye my hair black on the bottom and an auburny (brownish reddish-purpley maybe?)on top. my hair is naturally wavy, it curls easy, but i can just blow dry it straightish too. will dying my hair make it harder to do any of those things? and how often will i have to recolor it, if at all, to keep the black non-dull? also, if/when i want my regular hair color back down the road, is there an easy way to get the black out without bleaching and re-dying my hair or stripping the color? One more thing! I'm going to dye it myself (with some help) so any suggestions on how to separate the top from bottom or coloring tips on making the red look multi-tone red? Thanks!

I'm thinking about dying my hair black on bottom and reddish-brown on top?

Go for it life is too short! If you think it will look good it will. That's your style, there is no right or wrong. CUrls are good for something like that there will not be any strange lines. I would definitely get it professionally done they know what they are doing. The only thing it sounds like your hair would be very high maintenance. Talk it over with a salon. Good luck!

I'm thinking about dying my hair black on bottom and reddish-brown on top?

no sorry this haircolor might not look good on you

I'm thinking about dying my hair black on bottom and reddish-brown on top?

i really don't think these colors are a good combo. then again, it all depends how old u are and ur job occupation. if ur a student, then u could probably get away with it. if u are an adult with a professional job, people might not take u very seriously. good luck!

I'm thinking about dying my hair black on bottom and reddish-brown on top?

well it all depends what kind of dye you use.

if you use permanent dye it will stay and as your hair groes out fade, if you use a dye that is too harsh for your hair type

it may make it frizzy, thin, or even fall out.

if your not wanting to fully commit to your color i suggest a semi permanent or 10 to 12 shampoo dye (thats what i use)

the semi might last few months and isn't horrible for your hair if you like to change often.

as for the layering do the top first cause it's a lighter color, just do it all over and then after dye it on the under layers over the red where you want it.
